2. Products, Freshness Guarantee & Safety Notice

7-Day Freshness Guarantee

We source peak-quality fresh blooms and guarantee the freshness of our bouquets for 7 days from the date of delivery, provided that the included flower care instructions are followed (cutting stems at an angle, placing in clean water, and keeping away from direct heat or drafts). If your flowers do not stay fresh for 7 days, please email us with photo evidence for a complimentary replacement or resolution.

Safety & Toxicity Warning

All flowers, foliage, berries, and plants supplied by Florist Julien Manchester are intended strictly for decorative purposes only and are not for consumption. Some floral species (such as Lilies, Eucalyptus, and Delphiniums) contain natural toxins or sap that may cause allergic skin reactions or prove toxic to humans and household pets (especially cats and dogs). Please keep all arrangements out of reach of children and animals.

Product Representation & Natural Variations

Flowers are natural, organic products. Images on our website are for illustrative purposes. While we strive to display colors and stem counts accurately, natural variations in bloom shade, size, and opening stage will occur.

Seasonal Substitution Policy

Due to seasonal availability, market conditions, or weather disruptions, specific flower stems, packaging, hatboxes, or ribbons may occasionally be unavailable. Where necessary, our senior florists reserve the right to substitute individual flowers or items with alternatives of equal or higher value, style, and quality, preserving the overall aesthetic, palette, and luxury presentation of the bouquet.

3. Ordering Process

Order Submission & Acceptance

When you submit an order on our website, it represents an offer to purchase. An order is accepted only when we confirm acceptance or begin preparing and dispatching your items. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order prior to dispatch due to product unavailability, payment authorization issues, unserviceable postcodes, or suspected fraud.

Accuracy of Customer Information

You agree to provide true, current, and complete details during checkout, including your name, email, billing address, payment details, recipient name, recipient delivery address, recipient contact telephone number, and delivery instructions. We accept no liability for delayed or failed deliveries resulting from inaccurate customer input.

4. Prices, Billing & Payment

All prices listed on our website are in British Pounds (GBP £) and are inclusive of UK VAT (where applicable) at the prevailing rate. Delivery charges are calculated separately and displayed at checkout before payment.

We accept major payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Payments are securely encrypted and processed directly by our authorized payment providers (Shopify Payments / Stripe).

5. Click & Collect (Store Pickup)

Click & Collect is available from our Manchester studio located at 151 Cheetham Hill Rd, Cheetham Hill, Manchester M8 8LY.

  • Pre-Order Required: To ensure peak freshness and bespoke styling, our studio operates strictly by pre-order. We do not display off-the-shelf bouquets for walk-in purchases.
  • Pickup Window: Orders placed for Click & Collect must be picked up during our designated collection slot (Monday – Sunday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM; £5.00 handling fee). Orders for Saturday or Sunday pickup must be placed by Friday before 1:00 PM.

6. Delivery Logistics, Timings & Risk Transfer

Delivery Zones, Cut-Off Times & Collection Rules

We offer local hand-delivery across Greater Manchester using our own climate-controlled vehicles, studio collection (Click & Collect), and UK-wide delivery via specialized courier partners (DPD).

  • Local Courier Hand-Delivery (Monday – Friday): Orders for Same-Day local delivery across Greater Manchester must be placed before 1:00 PM (13:00 GMT) (dispatch window 16:00 – 20:00). Courier service does not operate on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Studio Click & Collect (Monday – Sunday): Collection from our Cheetham Hill studio (151 Cheetham Hill Rd, M8 8LY) is available 7 days a week between 16:00 and 20:00 (£5.00 handling fee). Weekend collections (Saturday & Sunday) must be ordered by Friday before 1:00 PM. The studio operates strictly by pre-order.
  • UK-Wide Postal Delivery (Tuesday – Saturday): Shipped via DPD (Standard 13:00–18:00 at £10.00; Timed morning 08:00–13:00 at £15.00). Orders require a 2-day lead time with a 20:00 cut-off. Postal delivery is unavailable on Sundays and Mondays.

Delivery Timing & Guarantees

All requested delivery dates and time slots (Morning / Afternoon) are estimates. While we achieve on-time delivery for over 95% of orders, exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed during severe weather, traffic disruptions, or peak trading periods (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas).

Unsuccessful Delivery & Re-Delivery Fees

If a delivery attempt fails due to customer or recipient error—such as an incorrect address, recipient absence, inaccessible building, or unanswered calls—our driver will attempt to leave the bouquet in a designated safe place or with a neighbor, leaving a calling card.

If no safe place is available, the bouquet will be returned to our studio. The customer must contact us within 24 hours to arrange re-delivery. Any re-delivery attempt is subject to an additional courier fee of £15.00, and depending on perishability, full or partial repayment for remaking fresh stems may apply.

Transfer of Risk & Ownership

Risk of damage or loss transfers to you upon delivery to the recipient address, safe place, concierge, or neighbor specified in the order. Ownership passes upon full payment and successful delivery.

7. Cancellations, Refunds & Consumer Rights

Perishable Goods Cancellation Exception

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, statutory cancellation rights (the 14-day cooling-off period) do not apply to perishable goods such as fresh cut flowers, which are prepared to order and deteriorate rapidly.

You may request to cancel or amend an order within 30 minutes of purchase by emailing florist.julien@gmail.com, provided that bouquet preparation or courier dispatch has not commenced. Once an order has entered preparation or dispatch, cancellations cannot be accepted.

Refund Eligibility & Claims Procedure

You are entitled to a replacement or refund if your order arrives severely damaged, non-fresh, or materially incorrect (excluding permitted seasonal substitutions). To submit a claim:

  1. Contact us via email at florist.julien@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear digital photographs of the damaged bouquet and packaging, along with your order number.

Claims are reviewed within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8. Subscriptions (Where Applicable)

If you enroll in a recurring flower subscription plan:

  • Recurring Billing: Your designated payment card will be charged automatically 4 days prior to each scheduled delivery.
  • Modifications & Cancellations: You may pause, modify, or cancel your subscription by contacting customer support at least 4 business days prior to the next scheduled delivery date. (During peak periods such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day, up to 10 days' notice is required).
  • Promotional Subscription Offers: Where a subscription is purchased with a promotional discount on the initial order, the discount is contingent upon completing the minimum specified recurring deliveries. Early cancellation prior to the second delivery may result in a charge for the initial discount amount.
